“Time spent in self-reflection is never wasted – it is an intimate date with yourself”.

Osmia is one of my favorite stores at the moment and I was delighted to see that I was accepted as a blogger for this store. This will be my first post as an “official” blogger for them.
Lately there are a lot of discussions about bloggers and designers. And although I have an opinion on the matter I will not engage in social media discussions. Sometimes I do say something but this is rare. To be honest I don’t like Facebook. I share posts and I am on there because of promotional purposes but other than that, no I don’t like it. I don’t even have one for RL because it’s always someone who is involved in drama, same as SL. Now you can say “but you don’t have to read all that”, true.. But it’s on my wall. And I most certainly am not reading everything but when it’s about bloggers/designers I do because 1. I am a blogger and 2. I work with and for designers. 3. I like to learn how to be better.
Okay so to go straight to 3: There is now an inworld group for blogger managers only. For me this is awesome, simply because I do not like Facebook! lol So now I can learn from others and listen to how they handle certain things and there is a golden rule which I personally love: no naming and shaming of bloggers. I have read from blogger managers (not in the inworld group but other places) that they are exchanging names of bloggers who are not “playing” by the rules. I have never done that. I actually never really talked with other blogger managers about our job. I just don’t like to talk about others, wether it’s a “bad” blogger or not. Anyway, this inworld group is perfect, no need to name and shame but trying together to find a way how to do our job in the best way possible.
